Eczema and Allergies

I have not been blogging and it is for a many factors, the biggest one being the complete and total stress of Noah and his eczema.  I follow all the top eczema rules.
Noah usually takes no more than 2 bathes a week (more if he pees all over himself or pours juice on his head).
He is never in the bath for more than ten minutes.
He is always rubbed down with a body CREAM not lotion.
He does not have scents or dyes in his laundry detergent (and its eco-friendly), body cream, ointment, body wash.
All his body wash is tested first before becoming fully used all over the body.

I do not switch anything that goes on or in Noah’s body lightly. I put a lot of thought into making any changes involving him. A few weeks ago I notched Noah kept grabbing at his diaper and I thought that is normal boys do that. However, about two weeks ago I realized he is not trying to masturbate he is itching so I started by cutting almost all dyes from his diet, sugar, anything to drink that was not juice or water. He was still itching and last week it got to the point he started saying it was itching and that he was getting a baby rash (diaper rash). So I first switched diaper types (stuck with the same brand), then I switched brands including wipes and he was still itching.  This week had me ready to cry and take him to the ER he was avoiding walking he was in pain. Well out of the blue while brushing his teeth I heard him scratching his throat, and I thought to myself, “OMG it cannot be as simple a problem as that?” It was! His allergies flared up the eczema and that is why nothing external was working. So now I am dealing with it.
Switched to chlorine and dye free diapers and eco-friendly wipes (the other wipes had Noah screaming).
Have him on children's Benadryl (yes I talked to a doctor first) half of the dose he would get if he was 5, twice a day.
I am now using Aquaphor at every diaper change.
I have also started adding vinegar to his bath water.

Glad to say Noah is almost back to himself after 72 hours. He is off of any medication to help with pain and between the Benadryl and Aquaphor he should be all cleared up in a few days. I feel if I keep using the Aquaphor and vinegar hopefully we will not have the situation get out of hand like it did. Mommy is finding a new doctor for Noah closer to home, this will not be happening again.
