Work + Blog = Not Working

Before I get into anything let’s get real about the equation Work + Blog = Not Working. It should really be Work + Blog + Mommy + Girlfriend + Cook + Housemaid + Sister + Daughter + Friend = Not Working, but for sake of simplicity we will stick with Work + Blog = Not Working.
Single, Mom, blog, blogger, work, change,

I have been working since the end of May as you may have read in Noah's Been Sick but He Has His CozyPhones (Review) you may have also read that Noah has been sick. Needless to say I am beyond tired, and I feel like the blog has 100% taken a back seat to everything else, and that makes me sad. What was not stated in that post was that Noah got diagnosed with Hand, Foot, and mouth disease (or another virus that causes blisters in the mouth) on the 24th. It has felt like since he started daycare he has stayed sick, and this means he needs more of my time and attention and I come to the realization something has to give. That give will be with the blog. I cannot work less hours (I wish) or make Noah get any better (I really wish), but I can cut the amount I am trying to do with the blog. So to help me not feel drained and overwhelmed I have two remedies.

1. I am going to start looking for a virtual assassinate. They will handle the promoting of the blog and my newsletter. This is going to be rough because so many virtual assassinate charge an arm and a leg, however I think I found out one for a reasonable price.

2. I am going down to posting once a week (tears). I have tried to go down to two post a week and I just cannot keep up with everything. For this reason and to keep quality content I am moving to once a week. My post will still stay between 700 and 1,000 words but they will feel more together. The range of topics will stay you can read the new Blog Post Schedule.
I want to say thank you to everyone who has read, followed, and stayed connected with me or the blog in anyway. I know a lot is going on, I am hoping to get a flow going with work, Noah, and the blog soon.

  1. Sounds like a good plan. Earlier I posted 7 times a week, now I'm down to 1-2. With a full time job it's just not possible to keep up the quality I want for my readers. What virtual assassinate are you looking at?

    1. WOW I could not do seven. I am looking to work with someone who is just getting started. I like the idea of growing with someone.
